Guide profile:

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!

How about an unusual tour , something you would not find repeated in all offers, wherever you search?

What would you say for a walk in a lovely park where the most famous School was established in ancient Athens, the Academy of Plato?

How would you fancy a most exquisite collection of golden coins of Alexander the Great housed in a superb villa , the private house of the German H. Schliemann, who discovered legendary Troy and the Homeric "rich in gold" Mycenae, and is now the unique Numismatic Museum of Athens, ignored by most tourists, as it is never included in any Athens tour.

This is exactly a reason to book a tour with me!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Nora Pantelaki and I have been working as a tour guide all over Greece for the past thirty years, a fact that makes me experienced enough to make your tour a very special one, vivid, fully customized according to your interests, age, time available, physical condition.

I have studied Archaeolgy and History at the National University of Athens, later studied at the University College in London, where I got my MA in Byzantine Art and upon my return to Athens I graduated from the National School of Tour Guides.

Ever since I have been guiding in continental Greece, as well as all the greek islands,a range of diverse groups such as religious groups and Universities, individual visitors and families with children and grandparents, parties of friends on sailing boats, in summers seven-day cruises to Egypt-Israel-Greek islands, where I gave lectures on board, state visitors of the Mayor of Athens and various Greek Ministries.

As I speak besides English, French, German , Spanish and of course my native Greek,I have encountered multiple attitudes, points of view, interests and this way I can fully comprehend demands of visitors, questions, diverse interests.

My aspiration is to make a tour memorable, a vivid experience, moreover to make visitors love Greece past and present!

In four hours I offer a walking tour that includes the top Athens destinations, the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum that ranks among the best worldwide.

For museum lovers a must is the National Archaeological Museum, combined with a tour of modern neoclassical architecture samples in the city center, the famous Academy, the University and the National Library.

For the romantic scenic lovers I would suggest the coast drive to Cape Sounio, extolled in the poems of Lord Byron.

Another jewel is the little visited but built in exquisite landscape Monastery of Kaisariani, on the mount Hymettus, off the city center.

There are so many more destinations for half day tour or day tours like the site of Marathon, of world fame and significance where practically no one goes, unless you have a special guide who will show you the way to little hidden treasures.
