Marisa is an excellent tour guide. I would use her again on my next trip to Thailand and I would recommend her to my friends.

She knows the history and background information on all the sites we visited. But what I liked is her flexibility on what I wanted to see and how long we stayed on any particular site. She would also offer good suggestions and alternatives. She is very efficient and organized and we sometimes took the train to save money which I preferred.

Highly Recommended.

Tour guide services/sample itinerary:

Samut Songkram is the province of fertile land, of plants and food grains, the production source of vegetable and fruits, as well as a vast variety of seafood products. It is an interesting historical source for the early Rattanakosin period. Located 72 kilometers from BKK (approx 90 mins by car) more photos please visit the site below https://www.facebook.com/Bangkokculturalstours

***Talad Rom Hoob. It is a must to see well-known market sets along side of train track. There are trains passing through the market. When the train is approaching, those vendors will close their awnings to make rooms for the train to pass. Without the train it will be just ordinary wet market. Highly recommended if you love to see something exciting and local's way of life.

***Bang Kung Camp. It is a historic navy camp, when arriving the camp site you will first find the imitation wall built in memory of the battle. The great war between thai-burmese army dates back Thonburi Kingdom (former capital city of Thailand in 18 C.E.). Within the camp compound, there is the ordination hall wholly covered by four species of ficus plants.

***King Rama II Memorial Park. It was built to honor the second king of present dynasty (Chakri). To commemorate his great patron to the arts and culture, which become a national heritage. The Museum depicts the traditional Thai House, ancient art objects, the men and women lifestyles.

***Amphawa Floating Market (Weekend Market Fri-Sun). There are plenty of food stalls and shops selling quality handicrafts. Most shops are unique and won't see elsewhere. Perfect for food lovers and much different than Damnoen Saduak Floating Market because a lot more local thai people come here.

***Swimming Monkey and Fisherman Village. Eco-tourism spot, monkeys are living in the mangrove forest, self sufficient local community.

Optional for homestay

***Highlight of people staying in Amphawa are the monks collect alms by paddle boat (early morning like 6 a.m.)

Touring with Marisa was really a five-star experience as she is really friendly, helpful, relaxed person and knowledgeable about Bangkok. She showed me the usual sights but also took me to her favorite places which were not as touristic and could enjoy the authentic Thai hospitality. Marisa has a wide knowledge on Thai history, customs so touring around with her was truly amazing. Marisa is definitely, positively an excellent guide and a great person! Two thumbs up for her!

Wow, what an exciting time. This was my first trip to Asia and a friend recommended I book a tour with Marisa Hempoon at viator. I was a little unsure of the process, but Marisa was attentive, considerate, and polite throughout. She reached out soon after I booked and set up a wonderful day of sight seeing, eating, and even meditating for me. She even got me behind the scenes of a Thai boxing match. Marisa has something available to only the most experienced and trendy tour guides- ACCESS!!

I was a clueless traveler to Thailand as it was my first time into the country. Marisa was a great host and is a prime example of what the country has to offer: friendship, hospitality, and culture. She gave a guided tour of Bangkok's various temples and street shops, injecting snippets of knowledge that would've been lost to casual pedestrians as we moved through the busy streets. Overall, Marisa presented a great picture of Thailand and one that can be missed by casually strolling the streets.

I took a tour with Marisa, and can highly recommend her if you are looking for a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We visited the market on the train tracks (1.5 hours drive from Bangkok), a fishing village and more. The market is an amazing thing to see if you haven't been before. Seafood for lunch was delicious, Marisa explained what everything was so the trip was a breeze. She has great English and a fun sense of humour. I would definitely use her services again next time I come to Bangkok.
