Hello, I'm glad you found me! I write and take photos for a local tourism website (mostly in Japanese). I also translate articles and work for foreign entrepreneurs who want to do business and live in Japan. I work as a freelancer so my schedule is flexible if you are wondering. Meeting new people and talking about each other's culture is exciting! That's one of the main reasons why I considered getting a guide license and here I am. Hope to hear from you soon!
What I love: Photography, Cooking, Books / Kindle, Outdoor sports, Traveling, Baseball, DIY&Crafts, Food and Beer (I don't drink as much as I used to though)

Recent reviews of this tour guide:
Knowledgeable, friendly, and incredible fluency in a broad range of subjects in English — especially concerning the environs of Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, etc. She was an absolute pleasure to be with and introduced my wife and I to wonderful sights, food, and alleyways of Southern Japan, emphasizing just what we asked for. You can’t go wrong with this fantastic lady.

Reviews of this tour – by clients who booked!
Sure, lots of guides know the history and the cool spots. What sets Madoka apart is her friendliness, her ability to plan and then improvise on a plan, and her tireless enthusiasm for Kyoto. We walked almost non-stop for an entire day, saw temples and shrines, ate great food, saw cool sites, , all thanks to Madoka. We talked history, Kanji, politics and even Japanese TV. I feel like I got a tour of Kyoto along with a tour of Japan in one go!
Great day tour of Kyoto with a great guide!
Saw some great places and took some good photos and got to each a lot more easily than if we'd have been getting transport ourselves!
Well worth it and Madoka is highly recommended.
