Katia Cutrone

Guide profile:

Ciao, my name is Katia and I'm a native Roman. I've got a University degree in History and Political Science.I lived in London and later in Berlin for many years, therefore I speak English and German fluently. When I came back to Rome, I studied Art and Archeology to be a professional licensed Tour Guide.I've been working as a Tour Guide since 2004, mostly with families and children.I love "out of the beaten track" tours , undergrounds, tailored itineraries and tales and mythology for children.

I look forward to meeting you in Rome!

Katia collected the three of us from the hotel and took us on a wide and varied tour of her city Rome. Not just the usual tourist trail, who would have found an aqueduct in a store basement and contemporary history when the Nazi's had a presence in Italy.

She was ideal in that she could add her perspective of living and culture in a city, that visitors would not necessarily find in a guide book.

Before we knew it she had long gone past the time but we'd had a good walk off the beaten track.

Tour guide interests:

I love to travel, that's why I know how important is a guide: you save time and focus on what really matters!

I have a big passion for photography. I was used to print my own pictures in a dark room. Today I "develop" my picture with the help of Photoshop!

We wish we could award more than 5 stars! I have been to Rome before, but this tour let me experience and understand Rome. Katia was responsive, flexible, friendly and tailored the tour for our family. She kept our children engaged, entertained, and excited and brought ancient Rome to life using pictures, books and even 3D glasses. She was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and had a well-planned and perfectly paced itinerary. We hope you too can experience Rome with Katia.

We booked the vatican tour with Katia and she did a very nice job. It was very interesting although the place was really crowded. She tried to show us the most important things and bring us on the fastest and easiest way throuhg the crush. We had the tour in German which she speaks very fluently. We would book her again.
