Coming from France, I now live in Kyoto. I Speak English, Japanese and French.
Fond of Kyoto, I crossed it in all directions with my bike and climbed most hills and mountains, searching for small forest paths and abandoned temples.
I tried as many ramen restaurants as possible and became quite an expert on the matter. Let me recommend some to you :)

We spent 3 days with Guillaume in Kyoto during our stay in September 2015. Lot's of energy, very knowledgeable regarding virtually everything we saw. Transport by bus and foot, just perfect to get around. Summing up: we had a fantastic time with Guillaume and can't recommend him enough to be your guide. Reliable, fun, informative and very helpful. Thanks Guillaume. Jan Willem & Bodil

Following a guide book will not lead you along the lesser known, but oh so charming, little streets and secret places of this ancient city.
