Actually 5+

I had a fantastic couple days touring Istanbul with Dilek during an extended business trip layover - she is both highly knowledgeable ( which I appreciated being a bit of a history & geography geek) but also very fun to hang out with and talk about current affairs or whatever. I strongly recommend her - and am taking my own advice as I have requested her services again when I return with my family.

My wife and I, were in Istabul last week of May 2016, she is one of the best tour guides we dealt with, she arrives on time, even before, informative, nice and professional. We recommend her for anyone who wants to invest his time in the right way. Thank you

Dilek was awesome! Wife and I really enjoyed touring the through parts of Istanbul with her. We appreciated her custom schedule based on our available transit duration and preferences for things to see and do. We also made stops along the way to try yummy food from street vendors. I highly recommend her!

Dilek was an excellent tour guide for our visit to Istanbul. She picked us up from our cruise ship right on time and tailored the tour to our specifications. It was an amazing day visiting the sites we would never have made it to without her knowledge and local expertise. Her information and history about the sites we visited made it all the more interesting. We highly recommend Dilek to friends & family and anyone visiting Istanbul and would hire her again without question!

An excellent tour which I thoroughly enjoyed, I would totally recommend. Book Dilek if your going to Istanbul. I had 12 hours in the city on a stop over, visited both the Asian and European sides, Constantinople, markets, restaurants, Blue mosque and the palace. She’s very friendly and informative, excellent English and knowledge.

Dilek was most delightful. A lovely person who was very knowledge about her country, in particular Istanbul. She showed us a side of Turkey we were had now knowledge of. A great personality and flexible with our plans. She took us to a fabulous tucked away cafe for lunch. We wanted a guide who would expose our family to a unique view of Turkey - she fit the bill in every way. Would definitely recommend Dilek. Private tours are the way to go when visiting any country.

Dilek was great....very helpful and informative....would recommend Dilek to anyone seeking private tour guide......a much better way (rather than a group tour) to see and learn about sites and at your own pace

We have a good time with Dilek. She is a wonderful tour guide.

We arrived at 8am in Istanbul by the time we got out from the airport to the hotel she met us at the hotel at 11am.

We told her what we wanted to see and try local speciality. She gave us a good guide on food and sights that we liked. She also showed us the off path for food and sights and passage which is hidden in the alleyways.

Walking with her saved us time for queuing for a tickets at each sights.

5 stars Kurt C. 31 May 2014

We did a full day walking tour with and went to all of the places she lists. Dilek was knowledgeable, personable, and you'll learn a lot more from her than you'll find in a textbook. She was also able to get us through all the major sights without having to wait in line to buy tickets. We definitely would recommend her to anyone looking for a tour guide for Istanbul!

My wife and I had a great time visiting Istanbul with Dilek. Not only did we go to normal Istanbul attractions, we also got to know the city, its popular districts and off the path alleyways. We sampled local popular fare and were introduced to Istanbul multicultural and ancient history.

5 stars Julia D. 05 Apr 2014

Wonderful tour. Ideal for a short break in Istanbul. It was our first time in the city and Dilek was able to show us all the major historical attractions as well as point at the best places to hang out without overpaying. After the walking tour we could navigate in the city much better too. While giving us all the necessary historical information we did not feel overwhelmed by the historical fact. Highly recommend!

We had a half day tour with Dilek. She was an excellent guide. We visited the Cistern and then some of our group wanted to shop at the bazaar. Afterward, she took us to an excellent local restaurant for lunch. She was very flexible, knowledgeable, and full of energy. She spoke very good English. She made the tour interesting by talking about life in Istanbul and answering our questions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needed a tour guide.

We had the pleasure of spending 2 days with Dilek last week. Istanbul is an expansive city and she was delightful, knowledgeable, and warm guide for our tours. Her energetic personality led us through the walking tour and led Connie on a private car tour. She had prepared our tickets so there were no lines, had wonderful dining options and was great at navigating the city. We have traveled all over the world and Dilek was one of the best experiences we have ever had. 100% recommendation!!!!

Dilek was great! Lots of energy, and covered more in two days than we would have covered in a week without a guide. Always flexible, and adaptable to needs of young kids. Definitely would recommend and hire her again. Speaks great English. Thanks.

I booked with Dilek to take me on an all day walking tour of the important sights of Istanbul. I was staying in Taksim, so she came to meet me at my hotel. I really enjoyed hearing about the history of the various places, but also current life in Istanbul. She also was very helpful and booked me transport for my hotel transfers. I would thoroughly recommend Dilek!

Dilek was our tour guide for one half day in Istanbul. We went to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, Spice Market and Hippodrome. She was great with our kids (teens and elementary age) and helped us hunt down things we were interested in purchasing. Very easy-going, open, knowledgable. We would definitely recommend her!

5 stars Laura R. 01 Sep 2013

We were a group of 4 ladies from the United States who hired Dilek for two full days to see Istanbul. She was a wonderful guide who not only showed us all of the tourist sights, but she also gave us great insight into what it is like to live in Istanbul and grow up in Turkey. After our two days with Dilek, we left Istanbul with a much greater knowledge of the complex history of this region. We would not hesitate to recommend Dilek to any friend or family who will be travelling to Istanbul.

5 stars Teresa F. 28 Aug 2013

My husband & I spent a delightful day with Dilek doing a walking tour of Istanbul. In the course of our full day we toured Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque as well as the Topkapi Palace. Dilek not only provided comprehensive historical information on all of the sights, she also gave us so many great insights into her country's culture. She was fun, interesting & always engaged. She arrived on time and stopped only when we desired (e.g. for lunch). She's a great choice to show you Istanbul

5 stars zarema U. 17 Jul 2013

I highly recommend Dilek to anyone visiting Istanbul especially to first time visitors. It can be intimidating to visit a huge city like Istanbul, not only because of its size but also due to language barrier. She gave us tons and tons of hospitality and made us settle. Dilek is passionate about her job. She is always punctual and knowledgeable about many aspects of the city and outlying areas. You can tell she is naturally a kind person.

5 stars Shaheen B. 25 Jun 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed having Dilek as our guide. We had a full informative day walking throughout Instanbul and seeing the famous landmarks. Dilek was very friendly, very knowledgeable, I would like to take the opportunity to give a 5 star recommendation and would not hesitate to recommend her to my family & friends. When we return we will definitely use Dilek again.

We had an excellent walking tour in old Istanbul with Delek. She was very knowledgable, and had good command of English. Delek was very friendly and sweet, and was also very patient with my 3 children, and answered all their questions. I highly recommend Delek, especially if you are traveling with children.

Dilek is very nice and friendly.

She knew very well about Istanbul History.

She brought to a very good Kebab restaurant.

However Istanbul is too big for 1 day tour.

If I have a chance to come to Istanbul again, I will surely ask her to lead and tell me more about this beautiful and charming city.

5 stars Vendula V. 25 Oct 2012

I would highly recommend anyone visiting Istanbul to take a walking tour with Dilek. She customised the tour with comprehensive details about the people and places we visited. Dilek understood I had limited time in Istanbul, so in 6 hours she helped me see what could have taken me up to 2 days to see on my own.  I saw a lot in such a short period of time and wouldn’t have been able to find some of these amazing places in Istanbul without Dilek’s help.  Thanks for a great day Dilek!
