We did a data collection on air pollution and noise in New Delhi. We had to bicycle 90 km per day during five days. So, the project was a little unusual and complicated. Akram did an amazing job: he gave us directions to follow many routes in New Delhi.

Thanks again for all

Akram gave a great tour. He met us at our hotel and showed us things we never would have seen, like the local flower market. He was very knowledgeable, and adjusted the tour to our interests. Thanks, Akram!

Akram is an amazing, knowledgeable guide. We toured Delhi for two days and learned so much about the historic sites and history of old and New Delhi and India. Akram knew a great deal about the history of sites around Delhi and made our holiday an incredible experience. We got to see temples, monuments, spice markets, historic sites and eat great food. So grateful we had Akram as our guide! He is a first class professional and I recommend engaging Akram as your guide to northern India.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending a day with Akram in Agra recently, and it has been a highlight of our trip. He is incredibly knowledgable about Indian history, very hospitable, patient with our struggle with the heat and had comprehensive English capability . His passion for all things India is infectious, and we couldn't be happier with the time we were fortunate enough to be able to spend with him. Thank you Akram, and all the best. - kdee, jimmy, Olly and Chris.

Akram is a very friendly guide who picked two of us up in New Delhi and gave us a two-day tour around the highlights of Agra, including the Taj Mahal at sunset and sunrise. He has a tremendous knowledge of Indian history and speaks excellent English. He was able to explain how all the monuments were linked to one another through time and family lineage and was able to put it all in the context of Indian history. Akram is very experienced, a good organiser and fun to be with. David and Jill.

Akram is a very friendly, personable guide with a prodigious knowledge of Indian history and speaks excellent English. He did his best to adapt to my needs as a nature photographer who was often more interested in the animals in and around the historic sites than the buildings themselves! He was happy to take me off the beaten track in to some of the less touristy areas around Agra and New Delhi.

5 stars Brenda T. 20 Feb 2017

Having only a very limited time in Jaipur, we asked Akram to show us the notable highlights in as concise a way as possible. He fulfilled the brief for us precisely & made it so interesting with his in depth knowledge of Indian history. His local knowledge of the back roads was also useful to our driver when the authorities closed a main route without notice. His English was impeccable, he was prompt, polite, considerate & patient. A wonderfully full enjoyable morning. Thank you.

My wife and I booked Akram and his driver, Ashok, for a day around Delhi. After a chat, Akram suggested places that he thought we'd like and then showed us the sites in an unhurried, relaxed and informative manner, visiting places that if it hadn't been for Akram we probably wouldn't have seen. The highlight being the Spice market. We had no problem with language as Akram has a very good command of English. We had a fantastic day! We only wish we'd booked him in Jaipur also. Thanks Akram!

5 stars Giovanni D. Z. 07 Jan 2017

Akram is a fantastic guide. Nobody like him is able to “discover” hidden authentic gems in visiting Jaipur. I was there with my wife, and 2 girls of 15 and 16 years, and he was able to keep all of us magnetically interested. We had the chance to briefly meet his brother Aslam as well, and we spent around 1 hour together: he is an incredibly gentle person as well.

I am 100% sure that I will contact him again next year when I will be back.

Thanks!

Giovanni

I have nothing but praises for Akram. This was my first trip to India and I left with a bag of knowledge of India's culture and history, thanks to Akram's vast knowledge. He is very passionate, cheerful and a respectful guide. Being a solo traveler, i felt safe, at ease always and very much enjoyed our conversations. I had an idea of what i wanted to see but i left Akram to draw up a program which allowed me to see a whole more. You will certainly get more than your monies worth. He is the BEST!

You cannot make a better choice then choosing Akram for your guided tour, thats the bottom line. His professionalism, knowledge and care for his guests is absolutely unmatched. He not only planned a perfect two day experience in Delhi and Agra but also worked in our own last minute requests so that it was completely flawless. Transport was first class, our driver was outstanding and the experience overall is something that I will cherish as the best moments of my trip to India.

We were a party of 6 adults and 4 children, and Akram Ali served as our guide for 8 days in Delhi and Agra during our trip in March 2016.

As a guide, Akram Ali was par excellence. He told us the history and special features associated with the historical places we visited. He added personal intrigues and stories of the time which made it extra interesting for adults and the children. He is very fluent in English.

But Akram Ali was much more than a typical guide for us. At our request, he a

Thanks a lot to Akram, I congratulated myself for the decision to hire a guide, and I would advise fellow travelers to do so as well, especially if time is limited (only one full day in my case), and want to make the best of it. Akram's support was really worthwhile, I have really appreciated the historical references to the place we visited, the Fort most of all. Thanks again!

I would highly recommend Akram for any tours of Delhi or Agra. I chose Akram based on the fantastic ratings and they didn't misrepresent- he was professional, knowledgeable and personable. Akram provided Delhi and Agra (Taj Mahal, jewelry and marble shops) tours to a girlfriend and me.

Akram can make an agenda that suits your interests. Akram made our visit a huge success-- he's an awesome and creative photographer too! Book Akram and you won't be disappointed.

As a single lady with a tight schedule Akram made me a brilliant itinerary and we squeezed all the experiences of Delhi into a very short time. Him and his driver Vikas were extremely professional and kind and made me feel so safe and welcome. I was given choices so nothing was fixed and there were no hidden costs or catches just an all round immersion into Delhi life and culture in complete comfort. I highly recommend trying the local street food. It didn't make me ill and was awesome!!!!

One of the best guides I've had while traveling. He's like a Discovery/History Channel narrator, taking you centuries back into the depths of history, but even better. He's eloquent and lets you experience the real India. One advice: trust him. He's respectful, and most of all, humble. He's very knowledgeable and he'll gladly respond to questions, accommodate special requests, and won't take advantage of you. He made our visit so enjoyable, I cannot really put it into words. Thank you Akram!

Akram was a fantastic guide; knowledgeable, courteous and always on time. We has 3 days with Akram in Delhi. He planned several locations which were not included with a land tour we had booked. Akram is a very personable and knowledgable man, he is an excellent guide, happy to give us extra time and take photos. He organised our transport from Delhi to Agra with a very helpful driver and delivered us both ways safely.

We had a wonderful day in Agra made more special because Akram was such a pleasant man and knows his history so well and can relay it in an interesting manner. you will not be disappointed.

Akram Ali was a joy to have as a guide in our 1 day at Jaipur. He's passionate about Indian history & culture, is organised, professional & flexible, takes fantastic photos & has a genuine interest in people. He knows great shops too -remember that bargaining's your responsibility!

The X-factor he brings to his job is his personality - twinkle in his eye, wonderful humour & deep perceptiveness. We had memorable conversations about Indian culture & life. Our 9 & 13 year old kids loved him too

Akram Ali knows what he is doing, he loves his country and knows about religion, politics, culture and also typical songs haha. He will guide you through Indian culture with safety and fun. He smiles all the time, his english is perfect and his personality captive. I highly recommend him, don´t doubt if you are thinking to hire him. Clearly he is the best.

We booked Akram for 2 days and honestly we never had such a well informed and pleasant guide. Within a short time he was best friends with our kids (5 and 6 years) who are not immediately into contact with strangers. Akram made some excellent suggestions to keep trip informative but also interesting for the kids. I would recommend Akram to everybody and according to my son the worst thing about the holiday was saying goodbye to our new family friend Akram.

Can't say enough about our tour guide Akram. Thanks to Akram, our first trip to India was incredible! Akram was friendly, courteous and passionate about his home country. He showed us all the sights in Delhi and Agra over a 5 day period. Our driver Mokesh, (not sure if the spelling is correct) an extremely safe driver, was equally as kind and professional. Akram's English was perfect and his extensive knowledge of Indian history was impressive. My wife and I highly recommended Akram!

Akram deserves 10 stars!!!

Highly recommended! In only 4 days time he showed me a lifetimes worth of memories.

He took me to a spectacular sunset at the Taj Mahal in a special location.

The few days we spent in Jaipur were amazing. I rode and painted an elephant, visited all the historical sites and saw a Bollywood movie which he translated for me.

Akram is trustworthy and ensured I was safe and comfortable.

Akram is not only a great guide, knowledgeable and passionate about his country, he is also a great individual. I had a short 2 day trip to Jaipur. Being a solo female traveler, I wanted a trusted, official guide to show me the sights and to provide a local perspective. I appreciated Akram's flexibility. My flight to Jaipur was cancelled so I got in much later than expected. He was patient and flexible enough to provide me a tour to let me see everything I desired. His knowledge & kindness was amazing! He knew local spots providing an authentic adventure for me. I hope to travel with him again :)

As a seasoned traveller, I understand how difficult it can be to find a guide who can cater to "road warriors". India can be a tough place as an "tourist". But I really have to say that Akram Ali helped me with logistics (train tickets) and restaurants and his keen insight into Indian culture was as important as seeing the key sites. I did a rushed Golden Triangle tour in 3 days and Akram made the trip special. I will recommend him to other friends/road warriors looking to India for an adventure

5 stars Paul A. 02 Mar 2014

We booked Akram Ali for a week's tour of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. From our first email contact with him to our emotional farewell at the airport, Akram was, without doubt, the perfect tour guide. He is knowledgeable, enusiastic, witty, amusing and genuinely caring for his guests. He took care of us, ensuring our safety, and nothing was too much trouble. I can heartily recommend Akram and I cannot believe there is a better guide in all of India. We will remember him with great affection.

5 stars Justin M. 19 Feb 2014

We spent 5 weeks with Akram touring Rajasthan. I don't think it's a secret that he is the best. He goes above and beyond to ensure your safety while you are enjoying your vacation (this was especially important to us since we were travelling with our two children aged 10 & 12). His strong knowledge of the country's history has never ceased to amaze us. Akram has been so much more than our guide, and we will remember our time in India with great fondness.

5 stars Sara B. 01 Jan 2014

Akram is an excellent guide-- very kind, hospitable, flexible, and extremely knowledgeable. Akram goes above and beyond expectations in every regard & very patient considering we had small children .

Akram guided our large family group over the holidays from Jaipur through Agra, and we can't imagine having the same special experience without him. We got so much more out of the trip than had we gone it alone.

It is surely a vacation that we will never forget. We highly recommend!!

5 stars Drew S. 27 Dec 2013

Akram is a gentle man. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur. He selected a very good driver, and made sure all of our "western" needs were met. Our group was two adults and two children, 11 and 14 at the time. I wholeheartedly recommend Akram. Also, I recommend Leelah Delhi, Oberoi Agra and Fairmont Jaipur for amazing hotel stays!

I knew traveling solo as a female in India would be challenging so I engaged Akram in Nov 2013 to be my guide for nine days of my trip through Rajasthan.

What an incredible trip we had! Akram provided perspective on the culture and current events, made history come alive as we visited the forts and temples. He found us off-the-beaten path restaurants, and was so easy to travel with.

Akram, thank you so very much for making my trip so special and so safe! I will never forget it!

5 stars Wendy A. 02 Aug 2013

We hired Akram for a 5 day tour of the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur). Akram is a very informative and accommodating guide. He has vast knowledge about the history of India and its culture. He is also very flexible with sudden changes in itinerary and is very punctual. He is naturally a very nice and trustworthy person. He gives street-smart advices whenever we are out to explore places in India. We were able to get good buys. Over all the experience is great! Incredible India indeed!

5 stars Joseph V. 01 Aug 2013

Akram was a superb guide for our two days of sightseeing in Delhi. He is an extremely thoughtful and considerate person and he made sure to keep my children engaged and excited about the incredible city of Delhi and its history. I wish we could have had Akram show us Agra and Jaipur as well but unfortunately Akram was busy on those dates. He did, however, have excellent recommendations for those cities. I would enthusiastically recommend Akram to anybody visiting Delhi, Agra or Jaipur.

Best decision ever! We loved every second of our time in India, largely thanks to Akram. He was 100% trustworthy & reliable, warm, patient, friendly and engaging. His knowledge and passion for his country and its history are contagious. There were some very specific things that I wanted to do and see and Akram customised our trip to perfection. My 14yo son enjoyed his company just as much as I did. You simply won’t find a better guide and I can't recommend him highly enough. Thanks Akram!

My wife and I have just returned from India (30 April 2013). We spent a week traveling, Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra, in that time we used the services of Akram as our tour guide. Akram was fantastic, there was nothing that was to much trouble, we had some specific request, all which Akram organised with ease. It was pure pleasure traveling with Akram and having him explain all the sights. Akram has great knowledge and uses his personal charm to enhance the experience, I can highly recommend him.

Akram is everything you need in a tour guide:

Professional, punctual, polite, knowledgeable and above all enthusiastic about what he does. He'll go in to as much detail as you can absorb about the areas you visit.

He also knows where and when to go to avoid the crowds, the best places to eat - really nice, safe food, where the locals (and Akram) eat regularly for literaly pennies. If you want more upmarket food then you can have this as well. Your choice.

Recommend without reservation.

We spent an amazing 2 weeks with Akram! He created such a wonderful trip with a great balance between historic sights and cultural experiences.

He was very flexible and sensitive to how much or how little we wanted to do each day.

The kids thought he was fantastic, as he knew how to engage them into the conversations. His explanations at each historical site wove a beautiful picture of the history of India.

We all feel lucky to have gotten Akram as our guide!

Akram was absolutely brilliant! Our one day tour around the sights of Agra was amazing and this was totally due to Akram's in depth knowledge of Indian history and culture. He is charming, friendly and has a very good sense of humour. He recommended we have a car for the day and our driver was also fantastic - thank you. I can't praise Akram highly enough - we definitely want to visit India again and when we do, we will be sure to book Akram. No-one can be better. Thank you very much Akram xxx

You will have a wonderful vacation in India with Akram as your guide!!

5 stars Matthew M. 03 Nov 2012

Ali was a perfect guide for me in Jaipur, and in Delhi. He showed me all of the sites in Jaipur over two days, and gave excellent commentary on the history of each in turn. He has a relaxed, reserved, thoughtful style which I appreciated after some more hyped-up tours in the past. There was time to respond to the surroundings and reflect, not just a constant stream of information. I wholeheartedly recommend him. I asked him to also join me in Delhi for a further day, later in my visit.

5 stars Birgit E. 29 Oct 2012

The tour in Delhi with Akram was the best tour I have made so far in India. We spent one day in Delhi where we visited a lot of sights and had a perfect lunch at Karim's. I definitely recommend him as tour guide and I'm going to book him again at my next Indian journey!!

5 stars Noorliza A. 20 Jan 2012

Akram is a pleasant , wonderful guide . He's knowledgable of the history of the sites we visited and he shared this info in a easy to understand way. He always checked with us what we wanted and accomodated our requests eg 'time out' for prayers ( we are Muslim ) and that arrangements for a driver to pick us from New Delhi for a return trip @ a reasonable price. We had e mail communications prior to our booked tour and he was quick to response to our queries and offered options.
