My name is Yvonne and I would like to guide you through Amsterdam. I will show you the must see attractions such as Dam square, Flower Market and the Canals as well as places “off the beaten path”. Always with a personal touch, because I want your trip to Amsterdam to be memorable and fun.

Originally from the Netherlands, my tour will offer you a view of Amsterdam, as a local would see it, including little known facts from a point of view only a local would have.

I’ve traveled for many years around the world: I visited India three times and had the opportunity to do volunteer work in one of the houses founded by Mother Teresa; Went on a bicycle road trip through the Western United States from New Mexico to the Canadian border; and visited South America and Spain more than once.

I am also an experienced tour guide. While living and working for several years in Mexico, I organized and led two, three and four week trips throughout Mexico and Central America. One of my best memories is leading a trip to Guatemala where my group and I helped locals with the construction of houses in poor villages.

After returning to the Netherlands I settled in Amsterdam where I live in a lively neighborhood in which many different nationalities and cultures are represented.

Making connections with cultures from all over the world is something I am passionate about.

Tour guide services/sample itinerary:

*My 3 hour walking tour gives you a good overview of the city. Of course you can extend this tour to see more less known places. A 3 hour tour is a good starting point for your stay in Amsterdam or gives you the opportunity to get an impression when only for a short time in town.

*If you do not want to walk or if you are not able to walk a lot I recommend a Hop-on Hop-off canal cruise tour, this tour is a perfect combination of a minimum of walking and a canal cruise.

*Schiphol Lay-over tours/ shore excursion tours: all tours can be booked including meeting you at the airport or at the Amsterdam Cruise Passenger terminal.

*I am specialized in customized tours: I can adapt the tour to children,elderly, special interest tours, visiting local places.

Transportation by tour guide:

Walking, public transport or rental bike ( I only recommend a bicycle tour if you are used to heavy bicycle traffic)
