Guide profile:

I have an official Business Registration with the Sri Lankan Tourist Board.In 2000 after nearly 10 years of guiding and lecturing I attended courses run by The Tourist Board of Ceylon and passed with distinction, my licence no. is C655 and also I upgraded myself as a National Guide Lecturer and my licence No is N1261 where I can handle any number of tourists at a time. The course covered a wide range of subjects including archeology, history, geology, ornithology, geography, theology, mythology, nature and wildlife studies and cultural studies.

I have special interests in ornithology, I am member of the Ornithological Club of Sri Lanka, and has attended courses and field trips held by OCS and taught by Professor Kotagama, I completed a certificate programme in Wild Life Conservation Management conducted by the Department of Zoology Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Open University of Sri Lanka and on these was fortunate to see the elusive leopard and sloth bear, indiginous to Sri Lanka, in the Yala National Park.

I am a non-smoker.I have excellent language skills and a fine sense of humour which combined with my friendly personality and flexibility make me the perfect person to show you around when you are on holiday.

I offer a wide range of fully accompanied and guided tours, all tours have me as a lecturer and chauffer and as well as a personal guide. When you arrive at an ancient site, temple, national park where ever I am there to guide, advise and help.

Sri Lanka Tour

Collected from the airport, delivered to your first hotel and an itinery that could take you all over the island seeing bits of the cultural heritage, visiting the wild life sancturies of the National Parks, bird watching, elephants and leopards, take in some beaches or maybe a bit of white water rafting. Really it is up to you, what do you want to do. A car, a guide and lecturer and opportunities not available to those on packages or group tours.

Tour of the Cultural Triangle

Visiting Anuradhapura, site of the 1st century capital and Polonnaruwa site of the 2nd century capital you will see ancient monuments, temples and some of Sri Lanka's most holy sites. Climbthe Lion Rock of Mount Sigiriya and see the World Heritage site frescoes, with Thomas on hand to help you up the last few hundred steps. Escape from the tourist beat at lesser known historical sites such as Yapahuwa, Aluvihare and Mihintale. Visit the famous cave at Dambulla or go on a elephant safari at Minneriya game park or go on birdwatching and nature treks or look for leopards on a safari at Wilpattu game park.

Adventure Tours

These tours can include whatever you want, except maybe skiing! Cycling, white water rafting, hot air balooning, canoeing, climbing, trekking in remote areas, night camping in the forests, (these are particularly special, a camp in the forest, set up for you with a safe and secure perimeter and includes bbq catering, eating under the stars etc.
