Guide profile:

When when I first came to the UK I was only supposed to stay for a few months. But I fell in love with the country and the people and 19 years on I am still here. I can think of no better way to show how much I like living and working in London than being a Blue Badge Tourist Guide and helping people see my favourite city through my eyes.

I like London so much that when I was training to be a guide, I was awarded the best non-English guide award for my year!

Tour guide services/sample itinerary:

There are many places to visit and hundreds of things to do in London. Please contact me to discuss your requirements and how I can help make your visit a unique experience and to discuss fees according to the size of your group.

A sample day could include exploring Westminster, the centre of power in the UK, a boat cruise in the river Thames, a visit to the Tower of London and a bus ride through the historic centre of the City. Visits to museums and galleries such as the Tate Modern, National Gallery, the British Museum, the V&A can also be arranged.

Samuel Johnson said that "he who is tired of London is tired of life" but if you want to experience what life is like outside the great city I can offer tours of Windsor, Hampton Court, Bath, Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Cotswolds, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Winchester, Canterbury to name but a few.

Transportation by tour guide:

The best way to explore a city is by doing what the locals do, use buses, underground and feet too!

Tour guide interests:

I am very interested in history and I have a postgraduate qualification in archaeology. For me the British Museum is like a second home and I thoroughly enjoy taking visitors there and helping them understand the great cultures of the past. But London is not only about the past, it is a buzzing metropolis with a vibrant art scene and one of the best shopping destination in the whole world.

I run two specialised walks on fashion. The first concentrates on the Saville Row and Bond Street area and the second on Knightsbridge and Sloane Street. Both walks explore the history of fashion with special interest in British fashion houses.
