Ciao, a few words about myself: I was born and raised in Rome, where I still live in a nice and quiet area close to the Vatican. I started working in tourism in 1970 (for Hertz rent a car). In 1980 I moved to the Reception of a centrally located Hotel in Rome (front desk staff at Hotel Seven Hills). In 1987 I got my licence as a Tour Guide. In the following..20 years (Oh mamma mia!) I worked mainly leading Tours in Italy and Europe, but in the last two/three years mostly in Rome only: I love this caothic city! A great mixture of past, present and, why not, future! Once I was leading as a location manager (I did that too...!) a BBC crew filming here by the Campo dei Fiori fruit and vegetable market...Talking with one of the speakers I told him that Rome.."Is like a beautiful woman..sometimes you hate her...but you can't live without her..." He liked this so much that he wanted me to repeat it in front of the video camera: what a shame!!! All tours will be tailored to your needs and interests. I try to keep prices affordable: most of my half day tours cost from 45,00 euro per person for maximum 4 guests plus, in case, children and, believe it or not...shhh...promise...we have a Code of Ethics: No factory shopping stops,no hidden costs...We are not going to take you to any restaurant of uncle Mario or any shop of cousin Francesco...we don't like these kind of things! Wherever you go in the world, tourist places are full of people who see tourist not as "guests" but as...chicken to get as much as possible from...

As many (not all) other of my collegues here in Italy and Rome, I am not like that: I consider you as travellers who come to see, learn and enjoy our city, our History, our gastronomy, our masterpieces of art: I want to be honestly paid, of course, but..nothing more: I don't have any agreement with Restaurants or shops to...overcharge prices for getting a little extra...With me you'll be into a "Commissions Free Zone": how do you like that? Ask for detailed and tailor made information: your Tours, your needs are not the same of anyone else...
