Guide profile:

My name is Ross Tillbrook and as a Blue Badge tourist guide, accredited by the Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA), I am qualified not just to guide you around my beautiful home town of Edinburgh but through all of Scotland.

Whether you are a small group of individuals, a family, on a business trip or a coach touring party I am happy to design a tour for your specific requirements.

After roles promoting Scotland as a tourism destination with both Visit Scotland and Vist Britain I started working a a guide on the Guide Friday open top bus tours of Edinburgh before training with Mercat Tours to take historic walking tours through the Old Town. When darkness fell I led ghost tours beneath the South Bridge helping develop my skills as a character actor and expert storyteller. I was chosen to represent Scotland at Walt Disney World’s Millennium Celebrations in Florida and have also had the honour of guiding groups around the Scottish Parliament Building.

I see myself as both an amabassador for my city and my country and believe that guiding should be fun! I pride myself on the fact that my clients leave Scotland with happy memories of the time we have spent together and with any luck they may even have have learned something.
