Languages: English mother tongue. Speak Afrikaans fluently. I can speak and understand basic French. Have some knowledge of local African languages.
I have guided extensively throughout Southern Africa over the past ten years on behalf of many companies, large tour groups, incentive groups, MBA and other USA business college groups, as well as smaller tours from many different countries. I also lead many hiking/walking groups in the Magaliesberg, Drakensberg and other scenic areas. I regularly drive people around in the game reserves and my knowledge of flora and fauna is gained from years of experience and reading and listening to experienced game rangers. Soweto and township tours are a speciality and for a real fun experience let me show you Soweto after dark!
Itinerary planning is a strong point as I have a wide and detailed knowledge of southern africa’s , destinations, attractions, adventure activities, hotels and other service providers. So I can ensure you of a smooth hassle free and enjoyable holiday experience.
I cope very well with professional groups who need a little more in depth information (business people, university lecturers, engineers etc). I think I am well informed on current affairs, industry and commerce and general knowledge of Southern Africa.
