Ovunc provided guiding for my wife and I in Istanbul for 3 days.
First I needed a camera and Ovunc acheived helping me purchase a specific Canon easily. My wife has balance problems and we are both retired (but active) and again around these problems we were led by the ebbullient Ovunc through a very great deal of walking so that we both enjoyed our Istanbul stay very much.
Ovunc is enthusiastic about her city, very well informed and a lovely person but also responsive to her clients' needs.

Tour guide services/sample itinerary:
Meet you at the cruise port of Istanbul, the airport or your hotel in the morning. Start your day visiting the Hippodrome where once the horse chariot races took place. Today there are few but very proud remains from its 4th C glory such as the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpentine Column and the German Fountain. Blue Mosque is next to here where you will learn about the Islamic temple architecture and the religion itself during our conversation inside of the temple. After the mosque walk in the beautifully arranged Sultan Ahmet Park which is in between of the mosque and the Haghia Sophia, for taking the best pictures of the both temples. Complete your morning with a visit to the Topkapi Palace; the well preserved middle age residence and administration centre of the marvelous Ottoman Empire. Visit the imperial council, the gardens, the royal costumes, kitchen collections, the holy relics of Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the magnificent Imperial Treasury. Harem quarters are optional. Enjoy your lunch served inside the Topkapi Palace with a beautiful view over the Marmara Sea. Continue to Haghia Sophia, originally a Christian Basilica built by Justinian in the 6th century, then converted to a mosque during the Ottoman Empire and known as one of Istanbul's highly visited museums today. End the day in Istanbul's 400 year old Grand Bazaar. Now beautifully restored it offers not only a superb range of souvenirs and bargains but also stylish handicrafts.

Ovunc,
You really made the world of Istanbul come alive; you described the scenes so vividly that without much difficulty we could imagine what life must have looked like and sounded like-remember the fountains, and even smelled like-remember the spice shop when Istanbul was at the peak of its power. This was the most rewarding tour and your enthusiasm contagious. Thank you very much.
Tour Guide Comment:
Thank you very much! I would be more than happy to do it again for your friends and other family members travelling to Turkey in the future.
