Hello! I am a native, licensed tour guide in Hungary. I graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Szeged, a lovely town in the south of Hungary, after graduation I moved to Budapest where I worked as a high school English teacher in the beginning, then I made up my mind and became an English and Italian speaking tourist guide. And during this period something strange happened: I fell in love with my new city: Budapest. I enjoy my new profession very much and I look forward to showing you around in Budapest – to present its history, architecture, legends, culture, the way of life in the past and the atmosphere of the present.
If you are interested in it, just have a walk with me so that you can get in direct touch with the city, discovering the best places.
In case you don't have your tracking shoes with you, I can arrange more relaxing tours by car or minivan, too, or boat trips on the River Danube.
Nevertheless, I haven't forgotten my countryside roots, either. And it's good to go back to the countryside from time to time. For those travellers who decide to stay for a longer period, wishing to see the country (and not only Budapest), I would be happy to organise and guide excursions all around Hungary.
Recent reviews of this tour guide:
I had an 8 hour, one on one tour of Budapest with Marta, and enjoyed it very much. She went at a relaxed pace, and yet we ended up seeing quite a lot. She knows her stuff and loves her city. She accommodated my interests, answered all my questions, helped me understand the public transit system, showed me good places to eat, and left me with suggestions for what to do on my remaining two days in Budapest.
