Hi, my name is Leap and I am your tour guide in Cambodia. I hope to help you experience the true and pure Cambodia from an insider’s point of view.
Let me tell you a bit more about myself.
I am 25 years old this year and my proper name is Leap (pronounce as lee-yap). Lam is my last name or my family name.
In total, I have worked in the travel industry for 8 years, with only 6 years as a tour guide. My first 2 years were spent working as a tuk-tuk driver. I love my job as it helps me learn more about the world outside Cambodia, as I interact with foreigners coming to Cambodia. I also can help to promote Cambodia to the world and share with them how great Cambodia is.n addition, I like to meet different people from all over the world so that through my sharing with them, I can help them learn more about Cambodia, a country which formerly has rich cultures, civilization, art and architecture that have been lost and damaged during the war 40 years ago. We have a rich heritage and I have been privileged to be able to share the Cambodia that I love with friends from overseas as a tour guide.
I will be setting aside some of the profits I make from taking tours to start a small English class to train Cambodian teenagers to learn some English and show them the importance of education. By learning English, they can make a better livelihood for themselves and their families by serving tourists coming to in Cambodia.
