Besides the fact that I was born "during the previous millenium" like Lewis Trondheim, from "a mother and a father" like Laurent Hours, from all my travels and the people I met... a bit like Nicolas Bouvier, what may be most important to you is that I am a certified National Guide, have been since 1998, and that I was a tour leader long before that.
Now might you ask: " what is a guide?"
Well, we all have an answer... To me, it is someone who accompanies you with a vibrato, and diplomas... and a "wee" sense of humour? I know, it's hard to believe with the picture... But I like to think that the rapport between a Guide and his/her clients implies that a subtle music is written, a dynamic is enjoyed and that knowledge is shared. Pleasure, too. And that is very important.

Isabelle is a FANTASTIC! She has a wonderful ease around children. We had 7 in our group ranging from 15 to 4 years old. She was able to talk with us as a group and individually when we had more in depth questions. Her knowledge of History is impeccable. Her English is beautiful. We were a group of 11 and the night tour she organized we wished we would have had scheduled it longer. She kept you wanting to hear more about France. She is worth every penny and more.

She was an excellent guide with very good English. She was very professional and had reseached informaion on the places we wanted to visit. She related to our teenage grandchildren with interesting facts and stories to make the places come alive for them, as well as, for us. I would highly recommend her.

What a great experience it was to see Paris (during what was a very short stay) - Isabelle's knowledge, cultural awareness and enthusiasm really gave us a "True Parisien" experience. She was such a great resource to show us what the locals did, where to go "off the beaten path" and made sure we truly understood what we were looking at and most importantly ensured the language barrier never for a minute restricted our enjoyment in the slightest- simply "Parfait". I am a French teacher from Nashua High School North in USA who participated in an exchange program with 11 students. We spent 2 days in Paris where Isabella Bénillan was our tour guide. She was amazing and I wanted to be able to give her some recognition for a job well done.
