Hi, I am Dimitra, I am a licenced tourist guide and during the last 13 years I have guided tours in english,spanish and greek in various sites of Greece and other European countries.
My job perfectly matched my love to travel and during my life I had the chance and luck to travel a lot around the world -Asia, Africa, Europe, America. . . The more I was traveling the more fanatic and enthusiast traveler I was becoming. As such one, while offering my services as a licensed tourist guide in my country I am trying to give to my guests all I am seeking as a traveler myself.During the last 7 years I am based on Santorini (Cyclades).I would be glad to show you around this beautiful island and make a journey with you to the past and the present of this incredible place. Dimitra is a terrific guide. She gave us an outstanding and enjoyable tour of Santorini, from an informative and interesting guided tour of Akrotiri to a fabulous lunch at a beachside taverna, a perfect visit to Oia and an excellent selection of a winery. She is knowledgeable, flexible and fun to be with. We highly recommend her!!

We usually arrange the tours according to my guests` interests and time available. I could suggest the following as some of the highlights of the island:
-Prehistoric site of Acrotiri (the "Pompeii of the Aegean")
-Oia village (splendid views and a paradise for photographers)
-Wineries (to taste the famous Santorini wines and learn about what makes them so special)
-Profitis Ilias mountain (for a panoramic view of the island)
-Fira town (there are always interesting things to do in a capital town of an island)
-Medieval castles and fortresses (some off the beaten track routes)
-Museums(prehistoric,archaeological,Nomikos)
-Ammoudi bay(for fresh fish and seafood)
-Black beach and Aegean sea experience (swim or just admire a volcanic coast)
-Walking tours (trekking is recommended only if you spend a full day or more on the island)
-Explore the caldera by boat on a catamaran or speedboat and visit the youngest craters of the volcano)

Presuming <5> is the highest score ?
Dimitra was an excellent guide on our recent visit to Santorini. She was punctual, very social, lively and knew her patch very well including historical details where applicable. Dimitra was able to tune her tour to help us 'older travellers' keep up with her and also was able to save us walking to the car in the soaring heat of the day. I would score Dimitra TOP MARKS on every aspect - and would recommend her to any future visitors.. Well Done Girl !
