I am a licensed tourist guide in the English and Malay languages, licensed to carry out guiding in the city (Blue Badge) and I am also a nature guide (Green Badge).
My ability to speak fluent English, Malay and the Chinese dialects, makes it easy for me to communicate with the tourists very well.
I have the ability to work well with people, really love the people and care about them. I really like working with tourists and helping them to have fun.
My organizational ability makes it easy for me to guide people travelling in groups. Leading incentive company groups, team building groups and organizing school functions and tours, are my past experiences.
My hometown is in the island of Penang and therefore I know the island in much detail, leading many successful groups into the heart of the culture, cuisine and the heritage of the people there.
As a member of the Kuala Lumpur Tourist Guide Association, I am a localized guide in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor since 1992. I have carried out many city tours of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (the administrative city of Malaysia).
I am now based in Johor Bahru, the capital of the southern state of Johor, to cater for tourists coming in from the island of Singapore. My expertise in guiding tours in the state of Johor include the Desaru Fruit Farm, the Firefly tour, the Ostrich Farm and the "Sarang Buaya Tour" (the tour to the crocodiles' nest).
Tours to Historic Malacca is my favorite because I can reveal Malaysian history as it is and there are so much to talk about the rich culture of the Babas and Nyonyas, the Chitties, the Eurasians and their unique heritage and cuisines. These are the results of the inter-marriages between the different races and different groups of people who immigrated to this city.
I have led many Malaysian groups and Malaysian expatriates to many other Asian countries, to the United States of America and also to Europe. Doing outbound tours and visiting many countries oversea, help me to understand the people of the world when they in turn visit Malaysia. I am therefore able to understand inbound tourists better, to be more open and to understand their needs, without being egocentric.
My other qualities include my good sense of humor, my poise, my outgoing personality, my high energy level, my high discipline and my ability to work independently.

Tour guide interests:
I love meeting people and is proud to show them everything about Malaysia. One of the most interesting sight for foreigners who come from the West is to show them the wet market, which of course is fast disappearing in the cities of Malaysia.
Therefore, village tours or the Malaysian Home Stay packages will ensure that we will still be able to continue to show curious tourists our "Wild Wild East" Kampung activities and their favorite past times.
I love telling tourists about the history of Malaysia in a very fun way. This make them enjoy the rich culture of the melting pot in various cities of Malaysia.
I love telling foreigners about the "Orang Asli" of Malaysia and bringing them to visit those village of the different tribes belonging to the aborigines.
It is fun bringing energetic people through jungle tracks and showing them the worlds oldest rain forest, 130 million years old.
Malaysia has records to show that we have "Perak Man" skeletal remains, chronologically aged to be about 10,000 years old. Just the same, China has "Peking Man" and Indonesia has the "Java Man" found along the river called the Bengawan Solo.
The above are just a few of the so many experiences that you will enjoy when you visit Malaysia. Malaysia is truly Asia. Cheerio!!! from your favorite OurExplorer tourist guide.
