Who would you choose to be your tour guide? Somebody from outside Mexico or a truly local? I was born and raised in Mexico City and lived all my life in Mexico City, I´m a third generation tour guide with 19 years now of experience in personalized tours of Mexico City and nearby cities like Puebla, Cuernavaca, Queretaro, Taxco, San Miguel de Allende, etc. I can provide different types tour experiences. All my personal/private tours include transportation in vehicles authorized by Mexico´s federal government Communications Ministry and/or Mexico City Transportation Bureau and that means you´ll travel with the proper passenger insurance in these vehicles (feature not offered by everyone). I´m a fully registered guide in Mexico City´s Tourism Board and in Mexico´s Federal Tourism Ministry (I have General guide license number N04496 and registration number 5184 with Mexico city Tourism board, and not everyone here is a registered tour guide as law requires in Mexico. All we registered tour guides in Mexico we have to keep visible our registration with the Tourism board so please for your own safety ask for this before you reserve anyone).

Carlos is a wonderful guide. We focused on architecture, especially Luis Barregan's and his proteges. He was also open to our many questions about Mexico City life. He was organized, got us where we had appointments, and did not waste any of the five hours we spent with him. He is a good driver, too, which we appreciated.

Transportation is provided in a Toyota Camry 2006 authorized by Mexico¨s Comunications Ministry with passenger insurance or could be provided in a Van 2006 authorized by Mexico City´s transportation bureau with additional cost. Both vehicles have front airbags, A/C, power windows and in Mexico City, a complimentary internet access on board for one laptop computer via ethernet port. (In highways outside Mexico City internet access can be provided with an extra cost. This service is subject to availability of radiofrequences or signal intensity).

We were in Mexico City for a long weekend and asked Carlos to plan a tour of Teotihuacan for us. He did an amazing job. He picked us up at our hotel and drove us out to the site. He then used his in-depth knowledge to give us a 5 hour tour of all the pyramids, temples, museums & even the private homes of the ancient Teotihuacanos. Having studied pre-Columbian history in college I was very impressed with his knowledge and he has a great attitude, sense of humor & has local cultural insights.+

Carlos is terrific. I needed a professional guide for a series of Mexico City photo shoots for a big client of mine.
