I am Akos Fodor, the professional guide of those tourists,…

who prefer being on a holiday and having a very good time to studying and memorizing datas,

who believe that a legend or a rumor tells much more about the city, than a list of facts,

who want to be fully inspired and energized by real, local impressions at the end of a sightseeing tour,

who know that nothing can be so customized, personal and interactive as a private tour :)

To provide an amazing sightseeing tour in Hungary, guides need the following. Beautiful sights? Check. Factual knowledge? Check. Fluent language knowledge? Not always check. And the most important - enthusiasm? Normally no check! They got bored, as they do the same everyday at touristic companies.

For a while, I do only private tours and I enjoy it a lot. More personal, more interactive, much more fun and I am so happy to do! My stable knowledge about the country is combined with cheerful, communicative, polite personality and it is my firm belief, that enthusiastic, open-minded attitude is the most cardinal characteristic in this job.

I believe, if you are looking for one of the most enthusiastic private guides, you found me and I have a guarantee for you! 1) 'Let's have a gentle walk!': walking tour in Budapest for anybody. It normally takes 4 hours, however, I fit all tours to your personal wishes, so any of them may be longer or shorter, but independently from the time interval, this tour cannot disappoint. It is perfect for the first general impression about Budapest and Hungary.

2) 'The fourth best quisine of the World?': gastronomy tour in Budapest. Duration: appr. 4 hrs.

3) 'Night tour in the delighted Budapest': you will understand, why Budapest is named the Pearl of the Danube! Duration: 3 hrs.

4) 'The very close rural area': only 50 minutes far from the center of Budapest, we find Szentendre, a charming, hiding city. I simply love this city. Duration: 6 hrs.

Extras:

I really try to fit to your wishes, however, you should tell me, what you really want, what interests you and so on. Some simple sentences might be enough orientation for me. Some examples from my former guests, 'I love the historical monuments!', 'I love the real, local places!', 'Communist memories, please!', 'Castles, please!' and so on.

Basically, I guide in Budapest and the close, rural area, however, I am open to any other target, too! Let's discuss together!

Transportation by tour guide:

Transportation might be arranged upon request! However, trust me, in Budapest, the distances are not that huge and the worth-visiting areas are always busier. It is too risky to get stuck as travelling by car or a minivan. I prefer gentle walks and public transportation. Fast, affordable and more local! They never caused any inconvenience for private tourist.
