I'm a certified guide living in Hakodate, the third largest town in Hokkaido, norhern Japan.
I love history, meeting people, and eating out. I'm an avid cafe and restaurant goer. I like to go to onsen(natural hot spring bath), too. In winter I go to onsen frequently and in summer, I go driving often. I love nature and taking photos of plants is one of my hobbies.

I have to say, our guide Akiko was very good. Our group has decided to give her a 5 out of a 5 rating. She was proficient in English and was able to answer the questions asked about the place and people of Hakodate. The highlight of our trip was the lunch at the Loisir hotel. Everyone raved about the food. Of course, our private tourist bus was even better. Very unique and comfortable. We definitely had a 'UNIQUE HAKODATE EXPERIENCE". Brilliant!!!

Ensure you get local wisdom and adventure when you explore Hakodate and neaby towns, such as Nanae, Shikabe, Esashi, etc.
If you are a group of three or less, I can use my own car to guide, although it is compact.
