The Long Tan Legacy Tour
Private sightseeing tour Introduction:
This tour gives intimate insights into the times and places encountered by most Australian soldiers during the Vietnam War (the Vietnamese call it the "American War") by visiting the locations where most soldiers served and putting that into context by how the current Vietnamese view that shared history.
This is a REALITY TOUR!
I caution that this can be a VERY emotional couple of days. As I child, I remember the TV images and my uncle's conscription & service here in Vietnam. I then spent 21 years in the R.A.N. On the other side, my Vietnamese Grandma-in-law was a VC courier. I am sensitive to the people on both sides.
Younger people who have no conscious memory of those times in Australian/Vietnamese history will find this extremely educational ... especially if there is a Vietnam Vet in the group!
